I remember like it was yesterday, but in truth it has been seventeen years since that moment. My sister, Lake, and I had just finished coating the last layer of chocolate icing on her birthday cake. We grabbed the candy nearest to us and artistically sprinkled M&M’s across our tasty creation. We had never been so proud, so of course our mother had to capture the moment on film. This flashback leaves me feeling like a little girl once again. I can’t help but savor the sweet taste of that fond memory.
