2013, Pigment on paper, 24"w x 24"h
In this series I have incorporated something ready to be thrown into the waste basket with the idea of geometric elements like symmetry, balance and repetition. I photographed the disposable paper color palette each time I finished using one in the painting process. The used paper color palettes with paint specks and the ghosts of colors make their own simplistic but organic designs that intrigue me. I manipulated these images and created geometric designs trying to capture that organic quality. I wanted to create beautiful images using something that was otherwise ready to be discarded.
A Daimler Company
Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
