Old Stump

Old Stump is in response to North Shore, Lake Superior (1926) by Lawren S. Harris. Harris was a Canadian painter born in Brantford, Ontario, and was one of the best-known landscape painters among the Group of Seven, a group of artists that set out to create distinctly Canadian art. He pioneered a particular Canadian painting style in the early twentieth century.
