Unseen work, an exercise of emotional control, is central to my investigation as an artist, worker and art handler. These notions of invisibility and visibility become the materials from which I develop drawings, installations, performances and videos. In the series Weaving, I draw on black-and-white photographs I took on a trip to Guatemala, where I went to observe and learned from Trama Textiles, a community of weavers.
