With my sewn works, I am returning to a drawing language I created during my studies in Auvillar, France. The intense process of creating that particular body of work had a lasting effect on me, and the kind of drawing I developed there has become one I cannot seem to shake. In response to the drawing language that I could slip into so quickly and easily, I decided to translate the process into something slow and meticulous. This introduction to sewing as a medium also incorporates my interest in graphs and diagrams as visual means of conveying information.
