In my work I combine realistic elements with abstraction, creating a hybridization of the real, imagined or remembered. I envision memories as colors, textures and shapes. The image as I saw it at the time is now distorted by a memory being remembered by all the senses, not just sight. The experience is painted as an assemblage of how I recall reacting to, and feeling toward, that moment in time, not how it physically appeared.
