In the Footsteps Of

In the series Traces (including these pieces), I use photography and painting to explore how ancestry and memory influence individual growth. With oil paint and wax, I copy and preserve elements of family photographs. Creating ambiguous narratives with figures or objects, Traces considers significant moments in development, such as creating an identity separate from one’s parents.
