I am a visual artist with roots and training in the traditions of Persian and South Asian miniatures. I am interested in employing these traditional techniques in contemporary art. I Am a Tree is a body of work inspired by an excerpt from Orhan Pamuk’s novel My Name Is Red and constitutes a series of artist books, text pieces, drawings and paintings.
