My work focuses on the study of dreams. I was inspired by the works of Giorgio de Chirico to place the focus of my prints more on surrealist architecture and less on people. I used incorrect perspective recalling de Chirico’s techniques to distort the architectural environment and create an uncomfortably unreal-looking city for the viewer and removed horizon lines to reinforce this. Halfway through I began removing figures from the pieces entirely and letting my metaphysical city speak for itself.
