SMU, MFA 2020
Oil on canvas, 2018, 24"w x 30"h
I paint environments that contain exterior and/or interior shots of buildings and objects. While figures do not often show up in my art, the presence of humans is apparent. The trace of people is seen in the industrial structures I depict and in the evidence of occupation in the compositions. I do this because the space a person inhabits can better show the effects of time passed and the history of actions. I depict the spaces and objects that one could attach sentimental value to, even though they are often made with function prioritized over beauty.

Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
