A symbol of many alluring concepts like love, wealth and eternity, the diamond is an overall metaphor for desire. By adopting the image of the diamond, I intend to create an overwhelming sense of attraction. I take advantage of the beautiful aesthetics of diamonds, like fragmentation and light, and mimic them to entrance the spectator. In Refraction I explore this idea of desire by using an object that is attractive visually and conceptually.
