My art practice focuses on the themes of self-identity and heritage. I look to my family’s stories, which consist of travel, displacement and adapting to new lands and cultures. Painting imagery from the Caribbean country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where my paternal family originated, I attempt to navigate the cultural spaces and stories of my childhood, allowing for new narratives to appear.
