My current practice is centered on material interaction. Steadily, I’m drawn to how materials have the potential to openly inform, elevate, unify or interrupt one another. Many of the ceramic materials I encounter offer various interjections into each other, and I seek to clarify how these components can exist together. My practice considers an investigation of these material relationships, ruminating on the undefined number of opportunities each material might contrive for another. My work is generated by approaching functional forms to convey the material relationships that are interacting.
