My recent work consists of paintings of architectural structures from my hometown, Monclova (Mexico). The images have been fragmented through the intervention of digital and analog tools in order to create structural and spatial ambiguity. These recent paintings are not mere portraits of a city but, rather, a visual analogy of the destabilization of personal identity structures—especially as they relate to my own perceived cultural identity.
