The Memory Object uses abstraction as a tool to reference a time, place or object that was mentally catalogued during a walk. Before the object is created, I make drawings to recall the shape, color and textures that first stood out to me. Finally, after allowing the memory to distort the drawings, the Memory Object works to bridge the gap between what was seen and what was remembered, resulting in a piece that references the context of the object and the self.
