MFA 2016
oak, maple, acrylic, concrete, lamp bulb, brass, 2015, (square) 3.3"w x15"h x 3.3"d; (triangle) 5"w x10"h x 5"d
Asymmetry is a lamp that uses a new way to open the light. I try to embody the dual concepts of beauty in imperfection and the very minimal/modern idea of beauty in perfection. When off, the brass literally shines to accentuate the off-kilter nature of the piece. When on, the piece stands like a little monument to the ideals of modernity.
