In the past, bricks played an important role in traditional architecture. They represent a symbol of an old era. However, people nowadays waste tons of resources; recycling becomes a very important topic. I started using recycled paper as a new material and shape it into a new type of composing material—paper brick. This new material is not only light but also easy to carry and assemble. It could shorten construction time and save on human resources. Because of its special characteristics of flexibility and lightness, it would pose a challenge to some extreme structures.
