screenprint on wood, 2014, 30"w x 30"h x 1.5"d
I am interested in the intersection of digital technology and analog art forms. Screen-printing is ideal for this as I combine digital photography, woodworking and the impressionist qualities of paint. I am inspired by the rhythms of natural objects, finding the extraordinary in the mundane. This work looks at naturally occurring patterns through an abstract lens to reveal a nuanced form.
