Drift, Sway and Linger address our bodies in particular spaces or environments and in particular modesof movement or stillness. These paintings explore the rich material/sculptural/physical qualities of paint and the virtual environments that it creates on a two-dimensional surface. Spatial ambiguity, atmospheric, spaces one in fantasy or play might enter into, inserting themselves within the rolling hills and valleys of paint, the bubbling contours of an oily black cavern, an unstable underwater crossing, or the amiable embrace of a spring storm.
