2013, Oil paint & linseed oil on panel, 12"w x 12"h (each)
Sometimes we set parameters for ourselves, expecting a positive outcome. Usually those parameters move, shift or get turned upside down before what is meant to be is created. These paintings served as a type of therapy for me when I felt I was losing my passion for painting. Isolating myself allowed me to free myself from expectations. I was also able to let go of my fear of failing and focus on reconnecting with my studio and my practice.
