Watercolor and rhinestones on paper, 2018, 18.5"w x 20.75"h
I am fascinated by insects. All animals intrigue me but specifically insects. Over the years I have worked with live insects, specimen collections and in the field with entomologists. Handling and observing thousands of insects has given rise to a love of patterns. This love of the natural world combined with an eye for patterns led me to make a series of camo/eyespot abstractions. This is one of the first paintings from that ongoing series.
