2007, Watercolor, 14.5"w x 21.5"h
This watercolor is a work done on location. It is one of a series of works done of dying oaks. In addition to the watercolors there are also several Silverpoints using gold and copper for accents. The cores of the trees have been eaten away by ants. They stand on the strength of their external structure. Hopefully the work will outlive the tree and artist. Its influence and impression can carry on well beyond its limit in time.
