This work is driven to seek tacit evidence that can help to uncover new perspectives on society, nature, technology and their intertwined or embrangled states. Just as generations of deer tread the same paths through the forest to their chosen feeding grounds, humankind alters the environment through its activities. My practice uses alternative materials and techniques to excavate the painting’s surface and uncover the images that lie beneath the paint. The work intends to expose new opportunities to investigate the digital, mechanical and natural.
