In recent years the economy in Brazil has soared and has outpaced both the United States and Western Europe. This transformation is most visible in Brazil’s largest and most dynamic city, São Paulo. With a population of almost
20 million inhabitants, São Paulo is considered a megacity and is the industrial, cultural and financial heart of the country. This is from a series of large-format photographs that study the architecture, infrastructure and culture in an attempt to witness the changes of a world in flux and to understand the effects of urbanism.
