Memory encompasses neither the entire spatial appearance of a state of affairs nor its entire temporal course. Memory has begun to keep records, but these records are full of gaps, and remembering has become a matter of meticulously minute reconstruction. I am interested in examining the inauthenticity of these memory images and the simultaneous recovery and loss that memory delivers to us.
