I seek to surpass physical borders, searching for the sublime power of the individual’s consciousness and psyche. My work is based in the sensorial world of touch, sight, sound, skin and perfecting the elusive perceptual shift through spatial reordering. I am influenced by the contentious, frictional zones of borderlands, Philip Glass and the utopian architects of the 1960s. I look to representation as a form of critique and to temporal or body-centric objects as a way of altering or moving our spatial perceptions.
