I created the pieces of this triptych all at once, late at night, on the evening before the death of my maternal grandmother. I was doing homework and was hit with a strange anxiety and the sudden urge to paint. I went to my studio after hours and absentmindedly worked, starting with Landscape, then Flesh and then Blue. The next morning, I received a call from my mother saying that my grandmother had passed from a heart attack. These pieces are in memory of her.
