The Detroit model was a project that I was working on for five years. In 2006 I began documenting downtown Detroit and gathering maps/data so I could create an
up-to-date model. Considering my background is in architecture/construction/model building, I wanted to offer a piece of Detroit to the folks that appreciate the transitions that the city is going through. Each model
was cast with different materials and left in a raw state for display. Being a native of the Detroit area and surrounded by the factory way of life, I believe that Detroit still has an uplifting spirit.
