I’ve been toying with ideas of ineptitude, vulnerability and failure as they relate to sincerity, authenticity and empathy. It is within this realm of human frailty that I have my delight—in diagrammatic tools of defenses and weaknesses, dependencies and crutches. The boundary between object and environment blurs, reflecting my view that our interdependent identities are informed by those around us. You see precarity, balance and support paired with forms that invite empathy through their posture or body language.
