My painterly explorations are inspired by the energy of human nature and relating to our environment. Natural, organic imagery is complemented with a focus on the act of painting itself, with an emphasis on brushwork and color. Everyday scenes are my subjects. In these moments, we experience a sense of place and atmosphere. Painting organic and natural forms complemented with line is central. I paint geographical and botanical gestures, using color as a vehicle to convey the energy coming from nature and space in the landscape.
