I am capturing life’s everyday moments to create landscapes and abstracts in oil paint. My painting is inspired by the energy of human nature and how humans relate to their natural environment. My attraction to natural, organic imagery is expressed in my focus on the act of painting itself, with an emphasis on brushwork and color. Natural patterns, everyday scenes and common experiences are something I am eager to paint. In these everyday moments, we experience a sense of place, a feeling of decay or growth and possibilities. I thrive on painting organic and natural forms complemented with line.
