I represent in the objects I create the memories I had as a child, using the emotions and feelings that I remember most deeply: shame, excitement, wonder and confusion. I introduce those notions into a piece you can carry with you, as a token or a burden. I want the work to be able to move around the world as freely as I once thought I could, to have the options and opportunities to be connected or attached in different configurations, not to be relegated to a certain area of the body.
