Through deconstruction of figural and spatial forms, my work aims to create the possibility of multiple readings. The paintings develop within a space where the forms can react to each other in such a way that the origin of the subjects becomes ambiguous. This oscillation of the painted images between representation and abstraction is intended to command attention and negate interpretation simultaneously. Revealing and concealing information, my paintings seek to frustrate our attempt to reduce the experience to any definitive reading.
