The quality of the word Hawla by itself is a part of the artwork. Titles are a very important and reflect the creative process I’ve taken. Poetry has a surrealistic quality that allows me to play with imaginary worlds and create strange creatures. I am interested in exploring issues that are at once personal and universal. The desire to share these personal experiences is what pushed me to work on books. Books can be intimate and public at the same time. I am interested in metaphoric meanings of different living things; a message by itself can become the meaning, the content of a book.
