I am an artist with a neurological disorder; my brain doesn’t allow me to see or hear things with consistency. I am aware of this. My awareness of this limitation allows me to closely examine part-whole relationships and opens me to multiple perspectives. I manipulate lines through installation, tying, weaving and tattooing. By covering objects and people with lines, I force myself to become aware of their existence. This drives my obsession with awareness. Throughout my work, I explore how my interpretations and perceptions interfere with those of others.
