These images are typically rendered with marks that resemble tiny grouped organisms that spread across, upward or downward in the picture. Circular shapes become a motif, taking on varying scales, small and large. The colors black, blue and white also become a repeated element in the work. The questions I am currently asking myself are: Why do I produce this imagery? Why am I attracted to these particular shapes that drive me to draw them over and over again? Why use these specific colors? Although I wish I could easily come up with an answer, in all honesty I cannot do so at the moment. For the time being I explore these inquiries—by purely making and producing the work—and cease questioning them.
