Despite all my abilities to perceive, it seems the nuanced forms would more often ask a question than give the answer. I am interested in forms that create a tension between the familiar and the unfamiliar, influenced by my experience in the suburban and rural Midwest. I seek to question the role and importance of the objects and scenes that surround our everyday life by making work that shifts back and forth between making sense and not making sense, like trying to remember a word that is on the tip of your tongue.
