Beauty is found in imperfection. In humans, in nature and especially in art. This is something that I always keep in mind while throwing my pieces on the wheel. This vessel is a beautiful example of this statement. While I was throwing it, I wanted to make something flawless, but my hands were not allowing me to do so. As I pulled and shaped the perfectly centered clay, my frustration toward imperfection turned into admiration for the perfect imperfection found in the clay.
