Stoneware clay, high-fire glaze, 2019, 3.5"w x 4"h x 3.5"d (each)
My work as a sculptor reflects my keen interest in form and how it manipulates space. As a result, my work is less about meaning and more about calculated decisions I employ to create the desired aesthetic. I find myself gravitating toward materials for which I hold a deep understanding, such as wood, steel, plaster and clay. I have developed a relationship with each material and use the materials according to their strengths and weaknesses. I sculpt with the intention of entwining the how and why behind my work.
