2011, Wood and wool, 48"w x 30"h x 6"d
This piece is a material and movement study of the traditional weaving process of warping. This process would normally organize a certain length of yarn in preparation for attaching to a loom. Exploring the possible patterns activates the space of the warping board and my body in the sustained gesture. The numerical system is like a score that dictates my movement for a particular pattern.
