My definition of jewelry tends to consider more than only its wearability. Within my designs I play with this idea of a piece’s wearability. The works test how far we can stretch the definition of jewelry and still call it that. A lot of my works come from the realization that postures create shapes or make shapes visible and, as such, can be considered adornments of the body. With every position, whether standing up, sitting or lying down, our bodies change and new lines are being drawn. In an ongoing series of form studies, I highlight the parts that remind me of jewelry.
