Inspired by traditional silhouette portrait paintings and traditional forms of art such as knitting, crocheting, weaving, braiding, etc., this mixed-media piece transcends time and space by connecting the past and present through old and new imagery. It explores the idea that our present identities are influenced by our history. Our memories collaborate with the present to create metaphorical imagery; together their coexistence forms a coherent identity.
