Larry the Lobster

Clay, 2017, 4"w x 5"h x 0.25"d

Larry is made from porcelain. I carved his body into a porcelain sheet, then did an inlay—filled the cracks I made with cobalt blue clay silt. Larry is my rendition of a lobster after stripping all minor details of a lobster’s body away. As simple as can be, but still recognizable as a lobster.
