The images in the Heavy Traffic series begin as low-resolution images of Dallas traffic, which are further degraded by using a combination of printmaking and photographic processes. By making gold ink prints of banal images like city traffic, I am turning the footage into art, recouping everyday material and extracting aesthetic pleasure from the images it contains.
