By layering forms, materials, colors and light, I create new spaces for an audience to enter. In making these installations, I often draw inspiration from music videos and blipster culture, though the content of my work is not solely dependent on these references. I want to create a space in which viewers can also have the opportunity to make links based on their own awareness of popular culture. Some objects are recognizable in life and may reflect the world as we experience it through the Internet or a virtual reality, while other objects have more ambiguity. Ultimately I want to create a space where people can easily immerse themselves in their imaginations.
