These pieces are ceramic containers thrown on the wheel, high-fired with a cone 6 glaze. The pieces are meant to display the plants and in a way become an extension of the plants themselves while highlighting the contrast between man-made objects and nature. The weight and density of the objects directly contrast the light, geometric plants placed in the vases. The color remains natural and cool creating an aesthetically pleasing environment for the plants. All three are meant to go together, and no one piece can fully support the idea behind the collection on its own.
