For me, people are special because I grew up in Korea and lived there for most of my life. Blessed to experience Dallas daily, I am excited by the chance to see a wide variety of people—with different cultural codes—and trends. This allows me to observe a delicate beauty for each individual. My work attempts to express on canvas an individual’s most beautiful moment. This is ultimately how I understand and observe people, and in each painting, I focus on a different aspect of human features.
