Sometimes, something invisible is stronger than something visible. I think perhaps we can only perceive a little portion of the world. My works focus on how little I know about the world through daily objects that I thought I knew absolutely. The seat is not connected to the chairback. People assume that a chair should be reliable for a person’s weight, but they don’t have many chances to think about the effort it took to make the chair support that weight. The unconnected part represents that effort.
