Growing up in an international community, I developed my own sense of culture. Living as a foreigner in someone else’s country, you are bound to experience your own culture very differently. I am fascinated and inspired by Chinese and Korean cultural references. There are many symbols and motifs that have history deeply embedded in them. I am interested in the transformation of these symbols and motifs through scale, form, material and my own personal interpretation.
