My work is a visual exploration of the mental, physical and physiological mutations we experience. It follows the deeply individual steps along a universal path, how we amend different influences into a structure of who we are. The use of line and pattern represents our own personal dogma as it finds itself influenced by changing environments and either adjusts accordingly, becomes subsumed or retains its integrity. A dialogue between accident and structure, whim and deliberation act out the larger narrative of maintaining a definition of oneself while changing and developing according to new wisdom or experience.
